TRAIL CONDITIONS

VERY fluffy snow, large drifts — great for snowshoes! 🙂

BEAVER POND TRAIL CLOSED from Inner Loop, Trail #12 to Big Rock, Trail #14 due to excessive water under snow. Please avoid this 1.6km section.

Be aware that due to warm weather before this weeks’ large amount of snow (between 1-2 feet with drifts on trails) there is chance of water under the snow. Although with today’s chilly temperature, it will help freeze through the snow.

GROOMING is anticipated late this afternoon which will pack down trails and help with freezing any remaining water.

I’ve been out on the snowmobile making tracks on the trails so it’s a little easier to see where they are. NOT good for cross-country.

It is a bit of a hike up either hill today as they’ve not been groomed. However, both do have snowmobile tracks where I’ve gone up.
